Initializes a new Git repository. If you want to place a project under revision control, this command turns a directory into an empty Git repository.

With git there are many configurations and settings that are possible, so git config is basically how to assign these settings. Two important settings are the user’s user.name and their user.email.&nbsp;

So, there are two things, either we can run this command globally or current repository settings

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <code class="inline-code">git config --global user.email &lt;email id&gt;</code>

Displays the state of the current working directory along with its staged snapshot. This only shows the current repo state.

If there are no changes it’ll return nothing to commit, working directory clean.

Creates a copy of an existing Git repository. That’s the most popular approach when obtaining a copy of a given repository.

Git clone is similar to git init for the remote repository.

Add files to the staging area for git, before a file is available to commit to a repository, the file needs to be added to the Git index (staging area)

<code class="inline-code">git add &lt;file or directory name&gt; </code><br>

This command is used for pushing all the changing from the local repository to the remote repository.

<code class="inline-code">git push -u origin master</code> (also, we can use some other flags)

This command is used to fetch all the updated changes from the remote repository to local repository without changing our working directory.

<code class="inline-code">git fetch</code>

This command is used for pulling out all the changes which are made in the remote repository to the local repository.&nbsp;

<code class="inline-code">git pull &lt;branch_name&gt; &lt;remote URL&gt;</code>
